Life has it’s ups and downs as we all know, but it also has its rewards. I think of ice cream as a reward. Ice cream is my comfort food, I love to come home from work at night and have a small bowl of ice cream to reward myself for working so hard all day. I tell myself that I deserve it. I also like to have ice cream before I go to bed, but that could create a problem like extra pounds.
The best ice cream that I know of is home made ice cream, made in a ice cream maker right in my own kitchen. My ice cream maker makes it easy for me to keep a supply of ice cream. I have a modern ice cream maker that allows me to pour in the ingredients and push a button, then I can just sit back and wait for the good stuff.
I don’t always make the rich version of ice cream I like to make the nonfat ice cream with the no sugar sweeteners, otherwise my ice cream reward might result in a larger waist size. I can also make sherbet or cold slushy drinks in my ice cream maker. There are many ways to make cold delicious desserts that satisfy the taste buds.
On a hot summer day of working in the yard, I can reward myself with a fruit slush made in a couple of minutes with my ice cream maker. Or if it is late in the day and I feel like a frozen drink with friends, we all get a reward of frozen cocktails from the ice cream maker.
Life is too short to do with out the good things in life. Reward yourself every chance that you get and put your ice cream maker to work, making the good stuff. Look up some good and healthy ice cream recipes and get your family and friends together for a big party on the patio and serve up the ice cream. The adults and kids will both love it.
